Easter

Now that Easter is all but a distant memory, here is a brief recap of the boy's second Easter experience.

On Saturday afternoon we met up with cousin Ava to check out the Henderson Easter Egg Hunt.  I have help the Henderson Rec. Department with this event one other time, but I have never had a reason to experience the event as a participant until this year.  Not to toot our own horn, but this was a great event.  Every kid I saw had a huge bag of goodies and everything ran smoothly.

I was lucky enough to have the help of both Grandma Karla and Grandma K, which was so helpful. With both boys going in different directions it was nice to have Grandma Karla's extra hands and Grandma K behind the camera.
We didn't fill our basket with as much as some kids, but my goal was to have the boys at least pick up one thing which we accomplished.

It didn't take too long before we were distracted by the playground and we spent the rest of our time there.

Both boys also got to go down the "big" slide. They weren't too sure the first time.

After the Easter Egg Hunt we headed to Grandpa Terry and Grandma Karla's for some Easter Baskets, another egg hunt and cousin time.

Bubbles were a big hit.

By this point we were getting pretty good at the whole egg hunt concept.

We were able to get everyone looking in the same general direction for a picture.

We practiced our racing skills.

Jax took a pit stop in the neighbors yard.  Shhhhh.....don't tell.

Sunday we had a different type of Easter Sunday by spending the day in Omaha with Grandpa Kurt and Grandma K.  We basically went to church and ate brunch at the Cheesecake Factory, but it was a fun little trip to do something different for the holiday.  Sorry no pictures.

Once we got back we had an abbreviated egg hunt since everyone was tired and it was threatening rain.

Eventually the egg hunt turned in to exploration.

Thats a recap of our weekend.  It was great to spend so much time with our family and have some new Easter experiences.
